Chennai to Himalayas
I am happy to write this blog that we had a successful trip to Himalayas for 7 days from Chennai. This is one of the best planned trip.
Started from Chennai Airport to Delhi and Delhi to Deharadun reached at 7 AM. We have booked Innova and Swift Dzire for total 8 Members. 5 Member's in Innova and 3 in Dzire. Driver names are Sanjay and Manoj. They are the best drivers and Sanjay is one of the guide along with Venkatesh Prabu.

Day 1 : (06-Nov-2018)
1. Started from Deharadun airport and stopped at Rishikesh to fill the diesel for both the vehicles
2. Then headed to Devprayag (108 Divya desham), had bath in Devprayag and had a good Darshan.
3. Then travelled to Dharidevi temple and had a good darshan. This temple is located in the middle of river.
4. Travelled to Rudraprayag and visited both kedhar nath and Badhrinath water's sangamam (Joining place).
5. Then Travelled to Agasthamuni where agasthiyar temple is located. Had a good darshan,
6. Then we moved to Gupta kashi and stayed there for night.
Day 2:
1. Started from Guptakashi and travelled to Sonprayag. Parked both the vehicles and provided the personal details to ketharnath temple devasthanam which is located near to entry gate of gowri kund.
2. Took Govt Jeep from Sonprayag and travelled to Gowrikund. (30 INR per each person). Govt wont allowed personal verhicles next to Sonprayag.
3. Reached Gowrikund and visited hotwater kund, where we can see the hotwater coming from earth.
4. Then started trekking for 32 kms(both up and down hills) to kethar nath. We have helicopter and horse available. For helicopter we need to book in advance (7000 INR person for two way) and for horse we can book at gowri kund (3500 person for two way).
5. we used the trekking way and go by walk and reached the Kedhar nath temple at 7 PM.
6. Had a good Shiva Darshan as its Pradosham day. Then we stayed at a guesthouse which is near to the temple. We were very tired and some pains in the leg. While walking we had shower and rains.
Day 3 :
1. Had a good darshan at Kedharnath in the morning, we have a Good Pandit in Kedharnath and did all Poojas. Guest house have good hot water.
2 . Then coming back to gowri kund by walk and few used horse. Then travelled back to Sonprayg by Jeep (govt vehicle)
3. Travelled to Gupta kashi from Sonprayag and had a darshan at Kashi Viswamathar temple which is located at Gupta kashi where we can see Ganga and Yamuna joined in temple.
4. Then stayed at a same hotel in Gupta kashi, which is very nice.
Day 4:
1. Started from Gupta kashi we travelled to Ukkimath , where Kedharnath Shiva will be here for 6 months during Winter (Snow)seasons. Had a good darshan.
2. Then travelled to Chopta, its called as India's Switzerland. Its very nice place to take photographs.
3. Then we moved to Thungnath , its the only shiva located at world highest. We have to go for trekking 8 Kms both up and down hills. Few horses are available if we cant able to walk. Its very nice place to visit.
4. Then travelled to Gopeswar, had a good darshan.
5. Then stayed at night in Chamoli.
Day 5:
1. Travelled to Joshimath Narashima temple,its 108 Divya desham
2. Travelled to Vishnu prayag, had a good darshan.
3. Then travelled to Mana which is called as Last Indian Village. There we can buy kullas , swetters, and shalves all from wollen made.
4. Then back to Badrinath and had good darshan (108 Divya Desham).
5. Stayed Nigh at Badrinath.
Day 6:
1. Again we had a good darshan Badrinat in the early morning. Here too we have hot water steam coming from Earth. Its very good to take bath.
2. Then Travelled to Dhyan Badri and had a good darshan.
3. Then travelled to Vridha badri , had a good darshan (via joshimath).
4. Then travelled to Devprayag and stayed there.
Day 7: (12-Nov-2018)
1. Woke up at 3 AM in the morning and headed (starts at 5 AM) to Rishikesh.
2. Had a Darshan at Triveni Sangam at Rishikesh and had a darashan at Perumal shiva temple, which is near to Triveni sangam.
3. Then Travelled to Haridwar and had darshan at Ganga River and did some shopping there
4. Had some shopping at UP govt shop in Haridwar.
5. Travelled back to Deharadun airport from Haridwar.
Then coming back to Delhi and Delhi to Chennai
Its was a very good thrilling trip. We saw lots of land slides and few other issues.
Other than that all went fine.
We have to Thank Sanjay to make this trip a successful one.
